Power consists
to a large extent
in deciding what stories will be told.

Carolyn G. Heilbrun

Poetry often contains a lot of drama!

These HONG KONG Form 1 girls (ie working in their second language!) explored THE LAMENT OF HSI CHUN from Arthur Waley's classic 170 Chinese Poems.

First they created still images of the back story - from the moment the Princess learnt she was to be married off to a remote King for political reason, through her journey to the distant court, and a life lived isolated and alone.

I found the final picture (her remembering the past time when she honoured her parents) very moving.
